With pianist Jaroslav Bárta, double bassist Jan Greifoner and drummer Branko Križek, David Kleňha forms the jazz quartet — a line-up with a full rhythmic sound you can dance to. They play at corporate evenings, balls, gala events and weddings.
David Kleňha is a jazz singer. He performs with his own line-ups from duo to quintet and works as a soloist with jazz big bands and orchestras, including theatre performances. His repertoire is built on jazz and swing standards, ballads and Czech classics.
Jaroslav Bárta plays piano in David Kleňha's jazz quartet — with voice, double bass and drums it forms the line-up for balls, corporate evenings and gala events.
A graduate of musicology at Masaryk University and of piano and composition at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague, where he now teaches jazz interpretation. A versatile pianist and composer who has worked with Lenka Filipová, Chantal Poullain and the Felix Slováček Big Band.
Jan Greifoner plays double bass in David Kleňha's jazz quartet — together with the drums he forms the rhythm section that carries the whole line-up, for listening and for dancing.
A graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, he is an experienced double bassist with strong roots in jazz, swing and traditional music. He has played in leading ensembles such as J.J. Jazzman, Matěj Benko Trio and Polydor Jazz Sextet, and accompanies leading Czech jazz singers including Eva Emingerová and Jana Koubková.
Branko Križek plays drums in David Kleňha's jazz quartet — the instrument that gives the quartet its drive and keeps the tempo when it is time to dance.
A versatile drummer and graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, known for exceptional stylistic range with a focus on jazz, latin jazz and Afro-Cuban music. He has worked with Alice Springs, Jan Smigmator, Radka Fišarová, Emil Viklický and Luboš Andršt. He is an endorsed player for Mapex, Anatolian and Pellwood.

Frequently asked questions
What is the approximate price of the jazz quartet?
The jazz quartet starts at CZK 27,000 for a standard evening (3 × 45 minutes), including the BOSE PA system and travel within Prague; outside Prague we charge CZK 14 per kilometre (two vehicles). The final price depends on the date, length and type of event — weekdays and early bookings work out better. We send an exact quote within 24 hours; details are in the price list.
Do you offer a cheaper option?
Yes, the jazz trio (voice, piano, double bass) costs from CZK 20,000 and the jazz duo from CZK 15,000. They suit smaller events where people listen rather than dance. Same musicians and repertoire.
How much does the quintet cost?
The jazz quintet with a horn section costs from CZK 33,000. The price is for a standard evening in Prague including our own professional BOSE stereo PA system. We recommend the quintet for large halls and gala events.
Do you play for dancing?
Yes, thanks to the drums the quartet has a full, rhythmic sound that gets the dance floor moving — which is why it is a popular choice for balls and company parties.
Do you bring your own PA system?
Yes, we bring our own professional BOSE PA system for events of up to 80–100 guests. For larger halls and big outdoor events the organiser provides a sound engineer. More in the article how many musicians for how many guests.
What are the technical requirements?
The quartet needs at least 4 × 3 m of floor space and one standard 230 V socket; we arrive an hour before the start. Outdoors, solid cover for the band and equipment is required. The full rider is in the article what the band needs on site.
How far do you travel?
We are based in Prague and play all over the Czech Republic. Events in Prague and the surrounding area we arrange flexibly; more distant bookings, including abroad, by agreement.
Can we choose a different line-up size?
Yes, besides the quartet we also play as a duo, trio and quintet — we will recommend the ideal line-up for your space and the character of your event.
